After serving as an officer in the U.S. Army and fighting in the Vietnam war, Zebedee Ducre, Sr. has been a bootstrap corporate professional for fifty years. 
 
He retired from IBM in 2001 and has owned a consulting company for twenty years. He earned an MBA from Georgia State University and a BS in Mathematics from Southern University, where he was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame.
 
He has dedicated the last five years to creating a self-help process based on real experiences and a planned-life-approach to living a long life. He is a passionate believer in a family-team or community-team based support for surviving during difficult times in your life.
 
His memoir walks us through his pre-Vietnam journey (How I learned “how to make war” and create a plan for survival). Then “Live Combat” in Vietnam (How to fight a war and survive). And lastly, his journey back home. Post-Vietnam (How I learned “not to make war” and survive).

About the Author

     Zebedee Ducre, Sr. has been a bootstrap corporate professional for fifty years, after serving as an officer in the U.S. Army and combat in Vietnam. He retired from IBM in 2001 and has owned a consulting company for eighteen years. He earned an MBA from Georgia State University and a BS in Mathematics from Southern University, where he was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame.
     His experiences growing up in Slidell, Louisiana, working as a migrant farmworker, being the first to get a college degree in his family and returning with no injuries from a brutal war can provide you insights on how to survive during challenging times.
     Ducre has been looking for ways to help with suicide prevention for Vietnam Veterans specifically and all veterans. He has dedicated the last five years creating a self-help process based on real experiences and a planned-life-approach to living a long life. He is a passionate believer in a family-team or community-team based support to survive during difficult times in your life.
     Zebedee and his wife of 54 years, Elaine, are the parents of four children: daughters, Renee, Kelli Jo (deceased), and Danielle, and son, Zebedee, Jr. They live in Atlanta, Georgia.
